Islamabad, Pakistan – High-ranking official sources in Pakistan described the allegations promoted by some circles linked to extremist organizations regarding the role of Turkish intelligence,
This is to prevent a potential clash between Pakistan and the Taliban government in Afghanistan, which is “misleading and malicious.”
“Türkiye, like Qatar, is playing the role of a neutral mediator,” the Pakistani official said, according to The Khorasan Diary.
Any attempt to portray mediators as biased towards one party over the other is malicious and contrary to reality.”
He added, “Relations between Pakistan and Turkey are based on mutual cooperation and mutual respect.”
It does not involve any interference in internal affairs, but rather aims to promote dialogue and regional stability.”
The official stressed that his country’s position is “firm and unwavering,” noting
that “the Pakistani people and law enforcement agencies
The government and all of them stand together in the face of any threats to national security.”
He continued, “Anyone who thinks that Pakistan is weak on the security,
economic, or political fronts and exploits this to achieve hostile goals is delusional.
Pakistan has the full will and capability to respond to any misadventure
and defend its national interests under all circumstances.”
These statements come at a time when the region is witnessing increasing tensions
between the Taliban movement and the Pakistani authorities.
Especially after the escalation of attacks that Islamabad attributes to
the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), based inside Afghanistan.
Both Ankara and Doha are trying to play the role of mediator to ease the disputes between the two sides.
Amid regional and international efforts to prevent the region from sliding
into open conflict that could threaten the stability of all of South Asia.
