Salalah, Sultanate of Oman – Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi announced the postponement of the regional meeting that was scheduled to be held today, Monday, in Salalah.
He explained that the decision was made to ensure consensus
and maintain agreement among the participating parties.
The minister emphasized that the postponement does not
reflect a decline in the importance of regional dialogue.
Rather, it comes within the framework of ensuring the appropriate conditions for holding the meeting in a way
that guarantees the greatest possible understanding and agreement among the participants.
Open communication channels
He explained that the Sultanate of Oman views dialogue as a fundamental tool
for addressing regional issues and promoting stability.
He emphasized the importance of avoiding any steps that could lead to further division,
given the sensitive circumstances the region is currently experiencing.
Through its diplomatic approach, Muscat seeks to keep communication channels open between the various parties.
Furthermore, it supports initiatives that can contribute to easing tensions and bridging differences.
Supporting dialogue and coordination
The decision to postpone the Salalah meeting comes at a time of rapid developments in the region,
making consensus among participating parties crucial for the success of any joint regional initiative.
The Omani Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s continued support for dialogue and coordination,
