Amman – Jordan – The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on its citizens to refrain from traveling to Lebanon during the current period, amid rapidly evolving security developments in the country and the potential risks they pose to civilian safety.
In an official statement, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates urged Jordanians residing or present in Lebanon to leave as soon as possible using available flights, as a precautionary measure to ensure their safety amid instability.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed it is closely monitoring the situation in Lebanon around the clock through its embassy in Beirut, stressing the importance of adhering to safety instructions and immediately contacting the embassy in case of emergencies or need for assistance.
It also urged citizens to register their information with the diplomatic mission to ensure easier communication and provision of necessary support in urgent situations, especially with the possibility of further security deterioration or disruption of transportation at any time.
This warning comes as part of a growing series of regional and international advisories urging their nationals to leave Lebanon or avoid traveling there, amid escalating security tensions in the region and fears of further escalation.
