Brasilia, Brazil – Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sharply criticized US President Donald Trump, describing his decisions as arbitrary, capricious, and constantly changing. He stated that this places a burden on the entire world, and Brazil in particular, and causes widespread political and economic repercussions.
Lula emphasized that Trump’s abrupt policies on numerous issues, especially economic and diplomatic ones, create an environment of instability and reflect an irrational decision-making model. He added that these policies also impose significant costs on other countries.
The Brazilian president pointed out that Brazil, which pursues a peaceful and diplomatic foreign policy, finds itself forced to pay the price for the erratic US policies. He asserted that these policies are no longer merely strategic choices but have become a burden on the entire international system. He called for a more balanced and cooperative approach among the major powers.
Lula also addressed the importance of dialogue and negotiation instead of escalation, affirming that his country remains committed to peace and non-intervention. He pointed out that these principles should form the basis of international relations, in contrast to what he described as the “erratic and unilateral actions” taken by Washington.
These statements come at a time when the world is experiencing multiple political and economic tensions. There is also growing debate about the impact of US policies on international security and cooperation between nations.
