Islamabad, Pakistan – Five people were killed and 13 others were injured in a suicide attack targeting a police station in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the northwest of the country, local authorities announced.
Details of the attack
Pakistani police explained that the explosion was caused by a car bomb driven by a suicide bomber targeting a security headquarters. This resulted in a number of deaths and injuries, as well as material damage in the surrounding area.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Security forces have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and identify those involved. This comes amid heightened security measures in the area in anticipation of further attacks.
