Dammam, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced that its forces successfully intercepted and destroyed seven hostile drones targeting vital sites in the Eastern Province. The Ministry confirmed that all procedures were carried out in accordance with air defense plans to protect civilian and military installations.
The Ministry stated that air defenses detected the drones early and engaged them with high precision to prevent any potential damage, emphasizing the readiness of Saudi forces to counter any similar threats in the future.
An official source indicated that this escalation is part of ongoing attempts to target the Kingdom, but the vigilance of the Royal Saudi Air Force and its advanced air defense systems contributed to thwarting these attacks before they reached their targets, reflecting the Kingdom’s ability to protect its security and stability.
The Ministry affirmed that the Kingdom will continue to strengthen its defense systems and work in coordination with its allies to ensure the security of its borders and vital installations, while taking all necessary measures to preserve the safety of civilians and vital facilities in all regions.
