Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced the downing of a second hostile drone as it attempted to approach the Diplomatic Quarter in the capital, Riyadh.
The ministry statement explained that air defenses detected the target and engaged it immediately.
As a result, the drone was destroyed before reaching the sensitive area. No casualties or material damage were reported.
Integrated defense system
The Ministry confirmed that this was the second such incident in recent days.
It also emphasized the readiness of the armed forces to deal with any potential threats,
within a comprehensive defense system to protect vital installations and diplomatic areas.
The Ministry’s statement indicated that the security situation is being closely monitored.
Furthermore, all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the security of the capital and its residents against any potential threats.
