In an official statement, the National Guard explained that its monitoring and tracking systems detected the two drones immediately upon their entry into Kuwaiti airspace. They were immediately engaged and downed according to the established rules of engagement to protect the country’s security and the safety of its vital installations.
The statement affirmed that the relevant forces have raised their readiness levels across all military and security sectors. Air and maritime surveillance operations have also been intensified in anticipation of any potential threats targeting Kuwaiti territory or its strategic installations.
The Kuwaiti National Guard emphasized that security agencies are continuing to closely monitor regional developments. This is being done in coordination with the relevant military authorities to ensure a swift response to any breaches or attempts that threaten the country’s security.
