Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced the interception and destruction of nine drones that attempted to target the capital, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province. Importantly, this occurred after air defense systems detected and engaged the drones before they reached their targets.
The Ministry explained in a statement that specialized forces were able to engage the drones immediately upon detection. They were successfully intercepted and destroyed without any casualties or material damage in the targeted areas.

The statement indicated that the Kingdom’s air defense systems operate around the clock to monitor the airspace and respond immediately to any potential threats. Moreover, this comes amidst the current security tensions in the region.
The Saudi Ministry of Defense affirmed that the armed forces are fully
prepared to protect the Kingdom’s territory and vital assets.
Additionally, it also emphasized that any attempts to target the country’s security will be dealt with decisively.
