Baghdad, Iraq – A series of explosions rocked various areas of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, raising security concerns. This occurred amid escalating tensions in the region, as the Iraqi Prime Minister warned against attempts to drag his country into the ongoing regional conflict.

Iraqi security sources confirmed that the explosions were heard in several parts of the capital. Security forces quickly deployed to the areas surrounding the blast sites and established a security cordon in anticipation of any potential developments.

In his first official statement, the Iraqi Prime Minister stressed that his country would not allow its territory to become an arena for settling scores between conflicting parties in the region. He added that the government is working to protect Iraqi sovereignty and prevent any party from exploiting the regional situation to drag Iraq into a confrontation that does not serve its interests.

He noted that security and intelligence agencies are closely monitoring developments and are working to determine the circumstances of the explosions and the parties that may be behind them, emphasizing that internal stability is a top priority for the government at this sensitive stage.

These developments come at a time of escalating tensions in the region due to the confrontation between Israel and Iran. This raises concerns about the conflict widening to include other countries in the Middle East, amid growing international calls for restraint and de-escalation.
