Intercepting the ballistic missile

The General Command explained in a statement that air defense systems detected the missile immediately after its launch and engaged it according to established military procedures. As a result, it was intercepted and destroyed before reaching its target.

The statement affirmed the readiness of the Bahraini Armed Forces to address any threats targeting the Kingdom’s security and territorial integrity.

Strengthening air defense systems

The statement indicated that the Bahrain Defense Force continues to enhance its defense and technological capabilities, particularly in the field of air defense. This is aimed at countering missile threats and protecting Bahraini airspace.

The military command also emphasized that the armed forces are working around the clock in coordination with security and military agencies to ensure the protection of the country and maintain its security and stability.

Tensions escalate in the region

The announcement of the missile interception comes amid escalating military tensions in the region, fueled by the intensifying confrontation between Iran and several other countries, marked by missile attacks and mutual threats.

The region is witnessing heightened security and military alert. Meanwhile, several Gulf states are affirming their readiness to take the necessary measures to protect their territories and vital interests against any potential threats.
