Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call from His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the brotherly Kurdistan region of Iraq.
During which they discussed the military escalation taking place in the region and its serious repercussions on regional security and stability.
The President of the Kurdistan Region expressed his condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region.
He stressed that it is a serious violation of state sovereignty and international laws.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked His Excellency for his supportive stance towards the UAE.
The two sides called for an immediate cessation of military escalation in the region and a return to dialogue and diplomatic track in a way that preserves regional security and peace
