Muscat, Oman – The Sultan of Oman held telephone conversations with the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to discuss the rapidly evolving situation in the region amid the recent military escalation.
During the calls, the Sultan condemned the military escalation, emphasizing the need for restraint and prioritizing dialogue to preserve the security and stability of the Gulf states and prevent further tension in the region.
The consultations addressed ways to enhance joint Gulf coordination and unify positions regarding the latest developments, while stressing the importance of diplomatic solutions and collective action to prevent the conflict from spreading.
Both sides emphasized that regional stability is a top priority and that any further escalation would have direct repercussions on international maritime security, energy markets, and the global economy.
These moves come within the framework of intensive Gulf efforts to contain the situation and maintain cohesion and coordination among the GCC states in the face of current challenges.
