Tel Aviv, Israel – In a military announcement reflecting the scale of the blow to Iran’s strategic capabilities, the Israeli military revealed on Sunday that it had destroyed approximately half of the Islamic Republic’s ballistic missile stockpile. It also confirmed the success of its air force in undermining the military manufacturing infrastructure that was producing dozens of surface-to-surface missiles monthly.

  • Neutralizing defenses and achieving air superiority

A blow to the heart of the missile arsenal

Israeli military spokesman Avi Defrin stated in a televised address that precise airstrikes had neutralized 50% of the Iranian regime’s missile capabilities. Defrin explained that the bombing targeted not only finished missile depots but also production lines. He further asserted, “We have prevented the production of at least 1,500 additional missiles that the regime intended to manufacture as part of a plan to increase production to hundreds of missiles per month.”

Neutralizing defenses and achieving air superiority

For his part, Israeli military spokesman Avichai Adraee confirmed to Arab media that the military operations focused intensively on destroying dozens of air defense systems in western and central Iran. Adraee indicated that this systematic targeting of surface-to-air missile systems and radars aims to create “absolute air superiority” over Tehran and vital areas. This allows the Israeli Air Force to operate with complete freedom. Adraee emphasized that the Air Force continues its defensive and offensive operations “relentlessly,” with the goal of intensifying the blow to the Iranian regime and dismantling the threats that pose a direct danger to the security of Israel and its citizens.

strategic implications

Military analysts believe that the loss of half of Iran’s missile arsenal, coupled with the destruction of its air defense networks, has placed the Iranian military leadership in an unprecedented operational predicament. Vital and nuclear facilities are now exposed to any future waves of bombing, while the capacity for a long-range retaliatory strike has been significantly diminished.
