Liverpool, England – Despite recent speculation surrounding his future, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah appears to have no intention of leaving Liverpool at the moment, remaining committed to his contract and expressing his desire to continue playing for the Reds.
The website “Football Insider” revealed that Salah is inclined to continue his journey with Liverpool, despite his relatively low level of performance during the current season in various competitions.
For the first time this season, the Egyptian national team captain has failed to score in nine consecutive Premier League matches, an unusual record for the star who is accustomed to being decisive in front of goal.
The report indicated that Salah is among the highest-paid players in the team, alongside Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk. The pair earn approximately £400,000 per week, in addition to substantial bonuses related to image rights and advertising contracts, reflecting their significant market value.
The report explained that if Salah does not leave during the upcoming summer transfer window, he is happy to stay with Liverpool and is looking forward to competing strongly in the new season.
Salah’s name had been linked to a possible departure at the end of the current season, especially after his recent clash with Dutch manager Arne Slot. However, the situation has since calmed down and the relationship between the two parties has returned to normal.
Despite this, some reports still suggest that the Egyptian star’s career with Liverpool may come to an end at the end of the current season.
Salah has played 28 games for Liverpool this season, scoring 8 goals and making 8 assists in various competitions.
