Osaka, Japan – The popular shopping and entertainment district of Dotombori in Osaka, Japan, was shaken by a tragic stabbing late Saturday night that left a 17-year-old boy dead and two others with varying injuries.

Osaka police announced Sunday the arrest of a man in his twenties on suspicion of murder.
The suspect fled the scene on foot before authorities tracked him down and apprehended him. Investigative sources indicated the crime was not random; police received information that the perpetrator knew the three victims and that an argument had occurred between them prior to the deadly attack on the first floor of a busy building in the area.

Police have confirmed the identity of the deceased victim as 17-year-old Ryunosuke Kamada from Nara Prefecture, who died from multiple stab wounds, primarily to the chest. Two other boys, both 17, sustained injuries to their upper bodies and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
