Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE welcomed the announcement of holding talks between the United States of America and Iran in the Sultanate of Oman.
She stressed that this positive step reflects the efforts made to support dialogue paths and reduce escalation.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the sisterly Sultanate of Oman to create appropriate conditions for dialogue.
She also appreciated the Sultanate’s hosting of these talks in a step that reflects the constructive role it plays in supporting paths of understanding and dialogue at the regional and international levels, and enhancing security and stability in the region.
The UAE reaffirmed its belief that strengthening dialogue, reducing escalation, adhering to international laws, and respecting the sovereignty of states represent the ideal foundations for addressing current crises.
She stressed her consistent approach based on resolving differences through diplomatic means.
The UAE expressed its hope that these consultations would yield positive results that would contribute to strengthening the truce and consolidating the foundations of security and stability in the region.
