Doha, Qatar – The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced active diplomatic efforts by Doha to reduce tensions between Iran and the United States, within the framework of regional cooperation to prevent an escalation of the crisis in the Middle East. Ministry spokesperson Majid Ansari stated that Qatar is working with all relevant parties to prevent any escalation of the conflict. He emphasized that any military confrontation could have disastrous consequences for regional security. Ansari noted that Doha is in constant contact with all parties and seeks to reach peaceful solutions through dialogue and regional cooperation. He also highlighted the importance of diplomatic solutions to ensure stability in the region.
These statements came after Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met with Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in Tehran on Saturday, as part of efforts to strengthen communication and exchange views. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates called on both Iran and the United States to reach a nuclear agreement and find a long-term solution to de-escalate tensions. It emphasized that the Middle East does not need new conflicts. According to reports, Iran and the United States will hold talks in Turkey next Friday. Turkey, as the host of the meeting, has invited Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman to participate in the discussions aimed at reaching peaceful understandings.
