Bangkok, Thailand – The death toll from the horrific train crash in southern Thailand has risen to 28, with 64 injured. The crash occurred when two trains collided on a busy railway line.

Local authorities confirmed that rescue teams are working to free those trapped and provide urgent medical assistance to the injured. They indicated that initial investigations suggest a possible technical malfunction or excessive speed as potential causes of the accident.
