Aden, Yemen – Anwar Al-Tamimi, the official spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council, denied the news circulating about the departure of the council’s president, Major General Aidarus Al-Zubaidi, from the country, stressing that he is currently in the capital, Aden, carrying out his national duties.
In a special statement to “Sawt Al Emarat”, Al Tamimi refuted what he described as the “miserable narratives” promoted by some media outlets and platforms affiliated with hostile entities, which claimed that Al Zubaidi had left the south in light of the current developments.
Debunking rumors
The official spokesperson clarified that these leaks are part of a media war, a desperate attempt to destabilize the region and sow discord in the south. He added that these leaks are part of a campaign to distort the facts surrounding the actions of the council’s leadership, which directly oversees political and security matters on the ground.
Commitment to principles
Al-Tamimi affirmed that the President of the Southern Transitional Council, the Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, continues his periodic meetings with military and civilian leaders to enhance the security and stability of the southern governorates and to follow up on the progress of work in state institutions, stressing that these rumors will not deter the leadership from moving forward with its national project.
