Damascus, Syria – Mazloum Abdi, the commander-in-chief of the “Syrian Democratic Forces,” said in a statement on Thursday evening that continuing the approach of fighting and the language of war is unacceptable. He added that such actions aim to impose unilateral solutions.

Mazloum Abdi added that this had previously led to massacres that amounted to war crimes in the Syrian coast and Sweida.

He stated in his statement that “the deployment of tanks and artillery in the neighborhoods of Aleppo, and the shelling of defenseless civilians,

Displacing them during the negotiation process undermines the chances of reaching understandings.

In addition, it creates the conditions for dangerous demographic changes,

This also puts civilians trapped in the two neighborhoods at risk of massacres.

Mazloum Abdi continued in the statement: “We stand with our people in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh in Aleppo,

We have been working with all parties for days. Our goal is to stop these attacks.
