Mukalla, Yemen – The Second Military Region Command issued a strongly worded statement, clarifying its position on the recent developments
and demands regarding changing the military deployment map in Hadramawt Governorate.
She stressed that all military camps and sites will remain under her full responsibility,
and no military site will be handed over under any pretext.
Refusal to surrender
The regional command clearly affirmed its categorical and absolute refusal to hand over any camp,
considering it an integral and permanent part of the military and security establishment.
The statement stressed that the forces will remain the “impregnable fortress”
to secure Hadramawt and protect the gains of its people.
She pointed out that abandoning these sites is an abandonment
of the national and security duty towards the governorate.
The Hadrami elite: the safety valve
In a message of national pride, the statement indicated that the “Hadrami Elite” forces were
at the forefront of those who sacrificed and liberated the Hadramawt coast
from the grip of terrorist organizations.
It is what established the unique state of security and stability that the coast enjoys today.
The leadership stressed that these forces are the “safety valve”
that cannot be bypassed in any security arrangements.
Red lines and national commitments
The leadership of the Second Military Region renewed its full commitment
to protecting the Hadramawt coast and its people and maintaining social peace.
She warned that harming public and private property is a “red line”
that the forces will not hesitate to defend.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that the forces of the Second Region
will continue to carry out their duties.
It will not allow any attempts to destabilize or circumvent the security achievements
that were attained through the great sacrifices of the people of Hadramawt.
