Manila, Philippines – The Philippine Department of Health announced that the number of injuries resulting from fireworks accidents

during New Year’s celebrations has risen to 235 people.

Among them are critical cases and others with minor injuries,

amid growing concern among authorities and citizens.

The ministry confirmed that most of the injuries were a result

of fireworks exploding near areas crowded with celebrations.

She pointed out that children and young people are the most at risk.

The injured were taken to hospitals to receive the necessary medical care.

Meanwhile, authorities warned of the dangers of using random games during the upcoming celebrations.

The Ministry of Health stressed the need for residents to adhere to safety guidelines.

She noted that, in cooperation with emergency teams, she will continue to monitor

the situation intensively to reduce the occurrence of further incidents.

This announcement comes days after similar incidents in several regions.

This highlights the need for safe celebrations and strict monitoring of fireworks during public events.
