Warsaw, Poland – Poland has signed a new €3.3 billion defense contract for the production of precision-guided missiles. This move reflects the accelerated pace of modernization of its military capabilities and increased reliance on domestic manufacturing in the defense industry.

The contract, signed with national defense companies in collaboration with international partners, aims to produce high-precision missiles for use with artillery systems and advanced launch platforms. This will contribute to increasing deterrence capabilities and enhancing the combat readiness of the Polish armed forces.

The Polish Ministry of Defense confirmed that the agreement is part of a comprehensive, multi-year military modernization plan. This plan focuses on localizing technology and transferring expertise. Furthermore, it supports domestic supply chains and reduces reliance on imports in light of the rapidly evolving security situation in Eastern Europe.

The project is expected to create new jobs within the defense industry. It will also support research and development while adhering to NATO standards for accuracy and operational efficiency.

The contract reflects Warsaw’s clear intention to strengthen its long-term defense capabilities. This comes amid escalating regional tensions and its efforts to solidify its position as a key military player within the European system.
