London, United Kingdom – A high-level investment and economic meeting is being held in London today and until Tuesday, bringing together top officials responsible for the Greek economy, banks, the Athens Stock Exchange, and the largest listed companies.

With approximately 100 of the world’s most powerful investment funds managing total capital of nearly $30 trillion.

This meeting comes as part of the “Fourth Greek Investment Conference”, organized by Morgan Stanley in cooperation with the Athens Stock Exchange.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will participate.

This underscores the importance the government places on attracting foreign capital.

Greece: From debt crisis to a “success story” – According to economic observers, Greece is now considered a “success story” in the international financial environment.

As nominations continue to pour in from major global investment institutions (such as JPMorgan,

UBS, HSBC, and Bank of America) for the benefit of Greece for 2026.

This confidence is based on several factors:

Strong and sustainable growth: The Greek economy is expected to achieve a growth rate above the EU average for the sixth consecutive year.

It could be one of the fastest-growing economies in the Union by 2026.

The financial data is on a superior performance trajectory, and public debt is expected to decline sharply.

Wood & Co. predicts it will fall from 154.1% in 2024 to 101.3% in 2030.

Greece is also strengthening its role as a regional energy hub and a bridge for transporting liquefied natural gas to Europe.

Especially after the signing of the “Vertical Energy Corridor” agreement.

Stock exchange upgrade and historical earnings

The Greek capital market has witnessed significant development, with FTSE Russell International recently upgrading the Greek capital market.

This is from the “Advanced Emerging Markets” category to the “Developed Markets” category for September 2026.

This is a move that is expected to attract large inflows of international capital.

Thanks to Euronext’s acquisition of the Athens Stock Exchange, the Greek market has joined a network of more than 1,800 companies with a market capitalization exceeding 6 trillion euros.

Forecasts indicate that 2025 will be a historic year for cash dividend payouts by listed companies.

It is expected to surpass the record of $5.4 billion euros set in 2007.
