Moscow, Russia – The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced today that it had thwarted a “serious” terrorist attempt targeting a member of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the city of Stavropol, revealing the involvement of a minor girl recruited by Ukrainian intelligence.
Details of the arrest
According to a statement from the agency’s public relations center, a Russian citizen born in 2007 and residing in the Krasnodar region was arrested. She was caught in the act of attempting to carry out the attack. The statement explained that the suspect had obtained a homemade explosive device. The device contained 400 grams of TNT.
Attack plan
The attack aimed to detonate a car belonging to a member of the Ministry of Defense near a military base. This was accomplished by planting an explosive device in the targeted vehicle after careful surveillance.
Shocking confessions: “Phone scam” and online recruitment
The accused fully confessed during the investigation, revealing how she was recruited. Investigators confirmed that the girl had fallen under the influence of “phone scammers” working for the intelligence services of the Kyiv regime.
The girl filmed the parked cars and the surrounding area, and sent the material to her “supervisor” to receive final instructions.
legal procedures
The Federal Security Service announced that it has opened a criminal case against the perpetrator under aggravated articles of the law. These include attempted terrorist attack, illegal possession of explosives, and manufacturing explosive devices.
This incident comes amid a series of attempts recently detected by Moscow, in which it accuses Kyiv of exploiting minors and Russian citizens through threats or deception to carry out acts of sabotage within Russian territory.
