Cairo, Egypt – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi addressed participants at the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum Ministerial Conference. He emphasized that the African continent possesses enormous potential and real opportunities for growth, but it needs fair international partnerships based on mutual respect and the pursuit of shared interests.
President Sisi stressed the importance of Russian-African cooperation transcending traditional frameworks. It should encompass technology transfer, national capacity building, and support for local manufacturing, thereby contributing to sustainable development and strengthening the economic independence of African nations.
The President noted that the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum is a pivotal platform for exchanging visions and experiences. It opens new horizons for cooperation in vital areas, primarily energy, agriculture, and infrastructure. It also encompasses food security, sectors that directly impact the lives of African people.
President Sisi also called for consideration of the specific economic and social circumstances of African countries when designing cooperation programs. He emphasized that comprehensive development begins with investing in the African people and providing job opportunities, especially for young people, in addition to supporting stability and peace across the continent.
The President concluded his remarks by affirming Egypt’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at strengthening African integration, as well as expanding effective international partnerships, in order to achieve a more stable and prosperous future for the peoples of the continent.
