Moscow, Russia – The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday that an An-22 military transport plane crashed in the Ivanovo region of central Russia.
The ministry stated that the aircraft crashed during a test flight following repairs. It added that the crash occurred in an uninhabited area.
A search and rescue team, along with a committee from the Air Force, was dispatched to the crash site. The ministry explained that the committee will determine the cause of the accident and investigate the fate of the aircraft’s crew.
