Al-Mahra, Yemen – The city of Al-Ghaydah, the capital of Al-Mahra Governorate, witnessed today, Thursday, a mass festival
and a huge artistic celebration, in celebration
of the success of “Operation Promising Future”.
Which was launched by the Southern Armed Forces,
and resulted in the complete liberation
of the Hadramawt Valley and Desert f
from the Brotherhood militia and its affiliated organizations.
The event, which was held under the auspices
of the Transitional Council’s executive body in Al-Mahra,
was described as “a major national demonstration
bringing together southerners.”
Thousands of citizens from Al-Mahra,
Hadhramaut and Shabwa flocked to the area,
raising southern flags and chanting slogans
in support of the Southern Transitional Council.

Victories mark a significant historical milestone
Amidst an atmosphere of overwhelming joy and popular solidarity, Fadi Baoum,
a member of the Presidential Council of the Transitional Council,
affirmed that the victories achieved constitute a “historical turning point.”
This is in line with the process of restoring the state, establishing security
and stability, and ending the presence of groups that are outside the law and order.
For his part, the acting head of the Hadramawt Transitional Council, Mohammed Batis,
indicated that these victories were a natural result of “
the unity of the people with their armed forces and political leadership.”
For his part, the head of the Assistant Executive Authority for Valley Affairs,
Muhammad Al-Zubaidi, expressed his pride in this great victory
after “long years of patience and suffering”.

Securing strategic locations
The festival included car parades, military displays by the Southern Forces,
and chants glorifying the sacrifices of the “heroic soldiers”.
She emphasized that the ceremony was “a message of solidarity reflecting the unity of
the South from Aden to Al-Mahra.This celebration comes in the wake of the southern forces’
capture of vital strategic locations in the region.
The most prominent of these are the headquarters of the First Military Region,
Seiyun Airport, and the Presidential Palace in Al-Ghaydah.
In addition to securing the port of Nishtun and the oil plateau
in Hadhramaut, thus ending the “northern domination” over the southeast.
The participants affirmed their full support for the efforts of the Southern Armed Forces
in consolidating stability and restoring normalcy to public life in the liberated areas.
