Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the negotiations held in Geneva resulted in the reduction and amendment of several points in the American peace plan. He explained that the changes came after lengthy and in-depth discussions among the participating delegations.
Zelenskyy noted that some contentious points had been reformulated to align with Ukraine’s position. He described this as a “necessity of the moment,” emphasizing that his country seeks a solution that guarantees its sovereignty and long-term security.
He added that dialogue will continue in the coming period with the aim of reaching a final agreement acceptable to all parties. He emphasized that any peace agreement must reflect the reality on the ground and achieve lasting stability in the region.
