Moscow, Russia – The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its air defense systems destroyed four Ukrainian drones. The drones were attempting to target Moscow early this morning, in the latest such attempt since the escalation of attacks between the two sides.
The ministry explained in its statement that the drones were detected and shot down in the airspace of neighboring provinces before they reached the vicinity of the capital. It confirmed that the operation was carried out with precision, resulting in no casualties or material damage.
These developments come amid escalating tensions on the ground and an exchange of drone attacks between Russia and Ukraine. Moscow maintains that its forces continue to “neutralize threats” to its internal security.
