Hanoi, Vietnam – Central Vietnam has been hit by severe flooding,
submerging large areas of villages and cities.
This forced authorities to evacuate thousands of residents
to safe areas after water levels rose to dangerous levels.
The National Disaster Management Committee announced that
the floods were caused by heavy rains that had been continuing for days.
It caused landslides, traffic disruptions,
and power outages in several areas.
Rescue and relief teams are working around the clock
to evacuate threatened homes and rescue those trapped.
While the Meteorological Department warned of continued
bad weather conditions in the coming days.
These floods are among the worst disasters to hit Vietnam this year.
Amid international calls for urgent humanitarian aid
and support for the government’s efforts to address the crisis.
