Ukraine – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy affirmed that the door remains open to the possibility of a ceasefire in his country, despite ongoing military operations on several fronts. He also stressed that pressure on Russia will continue until it withdraws from Ukrainian territory and adheres to international law.
Zelenskyy explained, in statements reported by news agencies, that Kyiv is seeking by all means a diplomatic solution that ends the war and preserves Ukraine’s unity and sovereignty. However, he added that his country “will not accept any settlement that perpetuates aggression or legitimizes occupation.”
The Ukrainian president noted that the Ukrainian army continues to defend its territory, with increasing support from Western allies. He emphasized that “the path to peace lies through the strength of the Ukrainian position and the resilience of the people in the face of Russian aggression.”
