Tel Aviv, Israel – US Secretary of State Antony Rubio arrives in Israel tomorrow for a 48-hour official visit. This visit is part of a Middle East tour aimed at discussing the latest developments in the region and also seeking to de-escalate tensions between Israel and Palestinian factions.
During his visit, Rubio is scheduled to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister and a number of senior officials to discuss Washington’s efforts to achieve calm, as well as humanitarian aid and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip.
The visit comes at a time of heightened tension in the region due to military operations. This comes amid intense diplomatic efforts by the United States, aimed at reactivating political negotiations and preventing the conflict from expanding.
