Tel Aviv, Israel – The Israeli military announced the launch of a large-scale military exercise, which began on the evening of Sunday, October 19, 2025. The exercise will last for five days, along the border with Lebanon and in Israeli settlements located in the northern Galilee region.
According to a statement issued by the army, these exercises are part of an annual pre-training plan. They aim to enhance the readiness of Israeli forces to deal with “varied scenarios.” These scenarios include defending the area and confronting potential and immediate threats from the Lebanese side.
The maneuvers include simulations of hypothetical attacks, with some Israeli military units playing the role of the “enemy” during the exercise. Increased activity by drones, warplanes, and naval vessels will also be observed. Additionally, there will be intensive movement of military units in areas near the border.
The army warned local residents of the possibility of hearing explosions in the coming days. The army urged residents not to panic, stressing that everything taking place is part of a planned training exercise.
These maneuvers come amid escalating security tensions in the region, highlighting the ongoing state of alert on both sides of the Lebanese-Israeli border.
