Sidon, Lebanon – A series of Israeli raids targeted areas in the Sidon district of southern Lebanon at dawn on Saturday.
Media reported that the strikes targeted the area between Al-Musaylih and Al-Najariya in Sidon district.
She also added that the raids targeted an exhibition of bulldozers and excavators.
Which led to the burning and destruction of many vehicles and cars.
It was also reported that one person was killed and 5 injured, according to preliminary information.
In addition, the raids damaged a number of electricity poles in the area, leading to power outages in several areas.
Raids despite the truce
A few days ago, an Israeli march also targeted a car in the Zabadin area of Nabatieh in the south.
The Bekaa region, in the east of the country, also witnessed 3 Israeli raids.
It is noteworthy that although a declared ceasefire has been in effect since November of last year (2024) between Israel and Hezbollah, Israeli forces are launching repeated raids on various areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa.
Israel confirms that it is “targeting Hezbollah”.
Israel also maintained its forces’ presence in more than five strategic Lebanese hills overlooking both sides of the border.
While the Lebanese government deployed the army in different areas of the south.
Last August, it approved a plan to disarm Hezbollah, and tasked the army with developing its details, which is what actually happened.
However, the Lebanese army confirmed that the continuation of Israeli raids and the lack of Israeli withdrawal are hindering its full deployment schedule in the south.
