Tehran, Iran – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani said that Lebanese Hezbollah remains militarily strong, although it has suffered a “painful blow”.
He stressed that “this movement will not be destroyed, but rather its capabilities will increase thanks to its thought and approach to struggle”.
Larijani noted that Hezbollah is still capable of turning the tables, but it is currently remaining silent in the face of ceasefire violations.
He explained that Hezbollah’s failure to act at the present time is due to the fact that it does not want to violate its commitment to a ceasefire with Israel.
But he has the power to change the course of events.
It is worth noting that the former Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed as a result of an Israeli air strike on September 27, 2024, targeting the party’s central command headquarters in the southern suburb of Beirut.
Regarding the situation in Syria, Larijani said: “The situation in Syria will not remain this way; Syria is a Muslim people, and this situation will not burden them”.
