Moscow, Russia – The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that its air defense systems had intercepted and shot down 8 Ukrainian drones.
“Over the past night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed eight Ukrainian drones,” the ministry said in a statement.
She explained that “the destroyed aircraft were distributed as follows: 3 drones over Rostov Oblast, 3 drones over Bryansk Oblast, and one each over Voronezh and Kursk Oblast.”
Destruction of Ukrainian military transport equipment
Vladimir Rogov, a member of the board of directors of the Russian-controlled Zaporizhia region and head of the People’s Movement “We are with Russia”, said that Russian forces bombed Ukrainian heavy military transport equipment in the city of Zaporizhia, the center of the region.
Rogov added, “A painful blow was dealt, targeting Ukrainian military transport logistics in Zaporizhia.”
He confirmed that the strike specifically targeted heavy freight vehicle containers, a maintenance base, and the headquarters of the Zaporizhia automobile plant.
Ukraine was using this factory for military purposes.
“The containers were camouflaged as civilian targets, but our forces quickly discovered them thanks to the help of local residents,” Rogoff added.
The Russian strike also targeted a military warehouse located in a former gym building in the city.
Power outage in the Ukrainian Kirovorad region
On the other hand, Andrei Raikovich, governor of the Kirovorad region in central Ukraine, said on Wednesday that an attack launched by Russia overnight with drones on the region caused a partial power outage and disruption of railway traffic.
“So far, power has been partially cut off to the district center and 44 residential communities,” Rajkovic wrote on Telegram.
