Washington, United States – US President Donald Trump said Monday evening that he will file a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The New York Times.

He accused her of being the “de facto spokesman” for the radical left-wing Democratic Party.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: “The Times has for decades been lying about your favorite president (me), my family, the business and movement of America First and Make America Great Again (MAGA) and our entire nation”.

He added: “The New York Times has been allowed to freely lie about me, distort me, and slander me for a long time, and that stops now”.

He noted that the lawsuit is being filed in Florida.
