Donetsk, Ukraine – Russian forces continue their advance in Donetsk Province, within the Donbass region in eastern Ukraine.
It announced control of two new towns, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that its forces had taken control of two new towns in Donetsk.
“Units of the Southern Forces Group continued their offensive operations, liberating the towns of Fedorovka and Markovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
This brings the number of towns that the Russian Defense Ministry announced its control over during the past three days to 6.
In addition to announcing that the forces of the “East” group were able to take full control of Donetsk territory in its area of responsibility.
In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian air defenses shot down two Ukrainian drones over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
