Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Abu Dhabi Cricket Sports Hub announced its readiness for the start of the Asian Cricket Cup. The announcement underscores how important Abu Dhabi Cricket has become in hosting significant events.

The event will be held from September 9 to 28. It features the participation of eight of the strongest Asian teams, making Abu Dhabi Cricket a focal point for fans.

The Asian Cricket Council had previously announced the selection of Abu Dhabi and Dubai as host cities for the tournament. This further showcases Abu Dhabi Cricket’s prominence.

Abu Dhabi Cricket Sports Hub, formerly known as Abu Dhabi Cricket Club, hosts eight matches of the tournament. This includes the Super Cup, making it a key venue for activities related to Abu Dhabi Cricket.

Dubai will host 11 matches

Dubai will host 11 matches, most notably the final, complementing the efforts of Abu Dhabi Cricket in organizing the event.

The tournament is an important preparatory stage ahead of the start of the T20 World Cup. This event is set for early next year in India and Sri Lanka. Abu Dhabi Cricket plays a role in preparations.

This edition of the Asian Cup is also historic. It witnesses the participation of eight teams for the first time instead of six, enhancing the legacy of Abu Dhabi Cricket.

The participating teams were divided into two groups. The first group included the following teams: the UAE, India, Pakistan, and the Sultanate of Oman. They all compete under the watchful eye of Abu Dhabi Cricket.

The second includes: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.

The top two teams from each group qualify for the Super 4 stage, followed by the final match. This highlights the significance of Abu Dhabi Cricket in the tournament structure.

His Excellency Arif Hamad Al Awani, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, expressed his pride. Abu Dhabi is hosting the 2025 Asian Cup matches, enhancing the profile of Abu Dhabi Cricket.

This is a new confirmation of the UAE’s position as a global sports center. It is capable of hosting the largest continental and international tournaments, with Abu Dhabi Cricket being at the forefront.

For his part, Matt Boucher, CEO of Abu Dhabi Cricket Sports Hub, welcomed the return of the 2025 Asian Cup to Abu Dhabi Cricket Sports Hub for the second time. Indeed, Abu Dhabi Cricket’s role as a sports hub is repeatedly affirmed.
