Ramallah, Palestine – The Palestinian News Agency “Wafa” reported on Tuesday that 3 citizens, including a child, were injured by Israeli army bullets during its storming of downtown Ramallah.
Local sources said that 3 citizens were injured by live bullets near the vegetable market in central Ramallah.
Meanwhile, occupation snipers climbed onto a number of roofs of buildings.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that three injured people were taken to the hospital. Among them was a 12-year-old boy who was shot in the back with live bullets near the Hisbah market. A young man was injured in the hand, and a 71-year-old man was also wounded.
Earlier, Palestinian media reported that the Israeli army stormed the Al-Manara roundabout area in the center of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the city center, raided an exchange shop, and fired live bullets and sound bombs at citizens.
The occupation army also fired rubber bullets at a journalists’ vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle.
Meanwhile, occupation soldiers suppressed participants in the National Day for the Recovery of the Bodies of Martyrs. This event was being held by the occupation authorities in the Baladna Center in the city of Al-Bireh.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that the Israeli army began a “decisive and unusual” operation in central Ramallah on Tuesday morning.
The type and purpose of the operation have not yet been disclosed.
