Moscow, Russia – Russia announced on Monday that Russian air defense systems were able, during the night hours, to shoot down and destroy 21 Ukrainian marches, including two that were heading towards the capital, Moscow.
In detail, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that its air defense systems intercepted 21 Ukrainian drones overnight over several regions of the country.
The ministry explained that “7 Ukrainian marches were destroyed over the territory of Smolensk Oblast.
In addition to 6 aircraft over the territory of Bryansk Oblast, 3 aircraft over the territory of Oryol Oblast, and 3 aircraft over the territory of Moscow Oblast.
Including two that were heading to Moscow, one drone over the territory of Kaluga Province, and another over the territory of Tver Province.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that Russian air defense units destroyed two drones that were on their way to Moscow.
“Emergency services are working at the site of the debris fall,” he added in a post on Telegram.
