Fire at Volgograd train station.. Russia destroys 18 Ukrainian marches

Moscow, Russia – Russia announced the destruction of 18 Ukrainian marches overnight, while Ukraine’s targeting of the Volgograd region caused a fire to break out at a train station in the region.

In detail, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Monday that Russian air defense forces destroyed and intercepted 18 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory during the night hours.

The ministry added that seven drones were destroyed over Kuban, four in Voronezh, two in the Belgorod region, and five others over the Sea of Azov.

Fire at a train station in Volgograd

For its part, the regional administration said on Monday that a power line was damaged and a fire broke out in a railway station building in the Volgograd region in southern Russia as a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones overnight.

The region’s administration said on Telegram, quoting Andrei Bocharov, governor of the Volgograd region, that an unexploded drone fell on railway tracks near Arshida train station.

“No damage to the rail was reported,” the department said.
