WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, met at the headquarters of Al-Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders.
During the meeting, they exchanged discussions on various topics of interest to the individual and society, and ways to consolidate the concepts of coexistence among the peoples of the world through initiatives that call for openness, fraternity and participation.
The Crown Prince of Fujairah emphasized the role of religious institutions in spreading the values of coexistence among all religions and the importance of spreading and promoting them among generations, praising the role of Al-Azhar in spreading world peace as a religious, moral and spiritual reference point.
During the meeting, HH The Amir referred to the Human Fraternity Document signed by Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and Pope Francis in Abu Dhabi 2019, which is considered a global model in establishing the principles of human fraternity, coexistence and peace in the world.
The Grand Imam expressed his happiness to meet His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and to open new horizons to consolidate the strong relations between Al-Azhar and the UAE, and to build bridges of creative cooperation between Al-Azhar and Fujairah in various fields that serve the intellectual and social construction of human beings.
The meeting was attended by HE Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, HE Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of HH Crown Prince of Fujairah, and HE Hamdan Karam, Director of the Private Office of HH Crown Prince of Fujairah.
