Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call on Tuesday from Her Excellency Sanai Takaichi, Prime Minister of Japan. During which they discussed the developments taking place in the region and their repercussions on regional and international security and stability. In addition to its serious impacts on the security of international navigation, energy supplies and the global economy.

His Highness the President of the UAE and His Excellency Sanai Takaichi also discussed the ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and countries in the region. Which targets civilians, civilian facilities and infrastructure. It represents a violation of the sovereignty of states, international laws and norms, and the Charter of the United Nations.

Her Excellency the Prime Minister condemned these attacks, affirming Japan’s solidarity with the UAE in all measures it takes to defend itself and its sovereignty and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.

Review aspects of cooperation

During the call, the two sides reviewed various aspects of cooperation, especially in the development and economic fields. And the development it is witnessing within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. They praised the successful conclusion of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement negotiations, which would contribute to enhancing trade and investment flows and expanding horizons of cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also stressed the continuation of joint work to achieve the goals of this partnership. For the good and development of the two countries and their people.
