Cairo, Egypt – Actor Ahmed El-Awady is nearing completion of filming “Samson and Delilah,” with only two weeks of shooting remaining before the film’s release during the upcoming Eid al-Adha season.
Fruitful technical cooperation
Ahmed El-Awady and actress Mai Omar filmed several outdoor scenes for their movie in Hungary in recent days. This film marks the first time El-Awady and Omar have worked together on screen, generating considerable public interest.
Short trip
The outdoor filming trip lasted about three days, during which a number of scenes were filmed in different locations within Hungary. The crew traveled with producer Karim El Sobky and his father, producer Ahmed El Sobky, to oversee the details of the filming abroad.
Celebrating the start of filming
The filmmakers had celebrated the start of filming before last Ramadan, after completing the first scenes, amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm.

The behind-the-scenes footage of the film’s beginning was attended by a number of participants, including Ahmed Essam El-Sayed. The film is directed by Raouf El-Sayed and written by Mahmoud Hamdan.
The collaboration between Al-Awadi and Mai Omar in “Samson and Delilah” comes after each of them achieved remarkable success in their recent works during Ramadan, as Mai Omar presented the series “Mona Lisa” which received a large following, while Al-Awadi returned to the audience through the series “Ali Clay”.
