Cairo, Egypt – The film “Barshama,” starring Hesham Maged, continued its great success in cinemas, after earning 11,473,974 Egyptian pounds on Friday, bringing its total revenue in just 9 days to 109,826,924 Egyptian pounds, officially joining the list of films that have reached 100 million Egyptian pounds.

The film stars Hesham Maged alongside a number of other prominent actors, including Mostafa Gharib, Reham Abdel Ghafour, Hatem Salah, Bassem Samra, Arfa Abdel Rasoul, Kamal Abu Raya, and Michel Milad, in addition to several other artists. It is directed by Khaled Diab, written by Ahmed El Zoghbi, Sherine Diab, and Khaled Diab, and produced by Sky Limit (producer Ahmed El Desouky) and Film Square (producer Ahmed Badawy).

During the current Eid al-Fitr season, cinemas are witnessing fierce competition between four new films, amidst a noticeable audience turnout that reflects the box office recovery. The film “Barshama” topped the revenue list, continuing to achieve record numbers since its release, while the film “Egy Best” was among the films that achieved a remarkable presence, along with “Family Business,” which is strongly competing for the top spots. The film “Safah Al Tagamoa” also returned to the competition after its re-release in cinemas, attempting to regain its place among the highest-grossing films after a period of absence following its previous withdrawal from cinemas.
