Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Spanish model Georgina Rodriguez, fiancée of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Saudi club Al-Nassr, has won a lawsuit
against a famous Spanish media network on charges of defamation and invasion of privacy.
The Spanish newspaper AS reported that Rodriguez filed the lawsuit
against Telemadrid because of a broadcast program in 2018.
He displayed old photos of her with her sister Ivana,
and revealed personal secrets about their lives and family without their consent.
Event details
The events occurred during the airing of a celebrity news program
that covered Georgina’s childhood and adolescence, and discussed aspects of her family life.
Using hints about her “hidden past,” he employs phrases such as: “Her eyes hide the difficult moments,
Which she suffered from during her childhood,” something Georgina had not previously disclosed.
The program also discussed details about her father, who died in 2019,
which the model and her fiancée considered a blatant violation of their privacy and his.

Pay financial compensation
Spanish media reported that the ruling was issued in favor of Georgina
and her sister just before New Year’s Day, by the Madrid Regional Court.
She asserted that Telemadrid and the program “Aki Hi Madronio” violated
the privacy and image rights of both women and their father.
According to the ruling, the television network will have to pay financial compensation
of 130,000 euros to both Georgina and her sister, as reported by the website “ABC.es”.
Defending her privacy and her family
This case adds to Rodriguez’s record of legal victories in protecting
her private life from abusive media coverage.
This reflects her keenness to defend her privacy and the privacy of her family.
This comes amid great interest from the media and the public in celebrity issues
and the protection of their personal rights.
Legal experts stressed that the ruling sends a strong message to the media
about the need to respect individual privacy.
And not to exploit their personal lives to seek excitement or attribute unverified information.
