Paris, France – The French capital witnessed an unusual event combining art, taste, and a humanitarian cause. Artistic chocolate pieces were auctioned off, raising over €100,000. All proceeds will go towards supporting children with leukemia.
The auction was organized by renowned confectioner Pierre Hermé. It featured innovative pieces such as a chocolate clock and a bouquet of roses made of white chocolate, as well as a piece containing 495 miniature chocolate eggs.
Twenty-five of France’s most renowned pastry chefs participated in the auction, including Patrick Rogé, Cyril Lignac, and Nina Métier. They offered additional services such as macaron-making classes and tasting sessions of the finest chocolates.
Auctioneer Arnaud Olivier confirmed that the event was the first of its kind in the world. He noted that the artworks were so exquisitely beautiful that they were difficult to touch, but they were entirely edible.
This auction is not just an opportunity to enjoy gourmet sweets; it highlights the power of art and food to support humanitarian causes. It can make a tangible difference in the lives of sick children.
